There is a provision in Ordinance 7 of 1858 see: 191 and Ordinance 10 of 1865 prohibiting base coin, but as it seems to me that such is repeated by implication by the later Ordinance 10 of 1865 I have not thought it necessary to include it in the list.
I have made diligent search and think the above is an exhaustive list of the legislation bearing on Currency, and would suggest that the Colonial Secretary's department make up the return wanted from the above information, and any additional which it may possess. The Bank Charters and Imperial Acts will be furnished by the Colonial Office.
